There is no "add to cart whenever you want." Corteiz sells through surprise online drops on crtz.xyz (also reachable as corteiz.com) that sell out in minutes, plus occasional in-person pop-ups. Miss the drop and you're on StockX, GOAT, Grailed or Farfetch paying resale. Note: most Corteiz-branded shops you'll find on Google (cortiez.net, thecorteiz.com, corteizes.com, etc.) are third-party reseller or counterfeit sites, not the brand.

Alcatraz Hoodie

Hoodies
$155

About Corteiz’s hoodies: Corteiz built demand on scarcity and refusal to play the normal retail game — password-gated drops, guerrilla marketing, and the Alcatraz island logo that reads as an in-group badge. People want it because it's hard to get and signals you were fast enough or connected enough to get it.

Corteiz isn't sold through us. Here's an honest take on what you're really paying for, and cheaper pieces you can actually buy below.

Is the price honest?

The ~$150 drop price is roughly what any streetwear label charges for a heavyweight printed hoodie — Stussy and Carhartt WIP land in the same zone. The problem is you usually can't buy it at $150; it sells out, so the real cost is the $300-$550 resale number. That premium is pure demand-over-supply, not better make. If you want the look and the weight, you can get 90% of it for a third of the money.

Our take

A heavyweight cotton pullover hoodie with the Alcatraz island logo printed big on the front or back. Construction is solid mid-to-heavy fleece with a decent hand — this is not a bad hoodie. But you are paying almost entirely for the logo and the difficulty of buying it, not for anything the fabric does that a $60 gym hoodie can't. If you catch it at the ~$150 drop price, it's an expensive-but-defensible graphic hoodie. At $300-$550 resale, you're buying scarcity, full stop.

The details

Material
Heavyweight brushed-back cotton fleece (roughly 350-400 gsm), screen-printed graphic. Cotton-dominant with a little poly in the blend depending on the batch.
Fit
Boxy and slightly oversized, dropped shoulder, cropped-ish body. Runs true-to-large — most people size down one for a cleaner fit.
Quality
Genuinely good on authentic pieces: dense fleece, clean stitching, crisp print. Counterfeits are everywhere and are where the quality complaints come from, so provenance matters more than usual here.
Best for
Someone who wants the specific Alcatraz graphic and the co-sign that comes with it. If you just want a heavy boxy hoodie in a plain color, you have much cheaper options below.
Care
Cold wash inside-out to protect the print, hang or low-tumble dry. Heavy fleece holds shape well and pills slowly if you keep it off high heat.
